2022 Howick FRAMA 6800 Steel Framing Machine

This 2022 Howick FRAMA 6800 is a dedicated floor joist cassette manufacturing system, built to improve production and installation efficiency over traditional lattice floor systems. The machine forms material between 2.0mm and 2.5mm (14–13 gauge) — heavier gauge capacity than Howick's frame/truss-focused models — reflecting its purpose-built role in floor joist production.

The FRAMA 6800 features Howick's proprietary swaged service hole design for ducting and plumbing runs, along with a swage-and-tab joint detail that allows floor lining to sit flush against the joists. Floor cassettes produced on this machine can be built as modular units offsite or assembled piece by piece in existing structures.

With 10 forming stages, the machine is computer-controlled and produces fully processed components — dimpled, notched, and fastener-ready — eliminating the need for jigs, clamping, or drilling during assembly. It ships with 7 standard tools: swaged service hole, service hole, bolt hole, tab, lip roller, swage, and crimping cut-off. The unit is operated via a Windows 10 touch-screen panel PC running FRAMA Machine Control, with CSV input file support, and includes dual-head inkjet component marking.
