2019 Hurco TMX8MYi CNC Lathe

The Hurco TMX8MYi is a high-performance CNC turning center designed to reduce setups and complete complex parts in one machine. Built on a rigid slant-bed platform, it combines turning, milling, drilling, and tapping in a single setup with the added benefit of Y-axis capability and live tooling.

With generous travels of 11.2" on X, ±2.17" on Y, and 22.0" on Z, plus a maximum swing of 22.0" and a maximum turning length of 22.0", the TMX8MYi is versatile enough to handle both short precision runs and longer production parts. A Royal Products System QG65 collet chuck provides quick-change workholding and efficient bar work up to 2.54" diameter, while the hydraulic tailstock (W-axis) supports longer workpieces with rigidity and accuracy.

The 12-station turret is live-tooling capable, with driven toolholders included to expand capability for cross-drilling, milling flats, and rigid tapping. Live tooling speeds up to 5,000 RPM and a main spindle capable of 4,500 RPM deliver productivity across a wide range of materials. The machine is also equipped with an automatic tool probe, ensuring fast setups and accurate offsets to minimize downtime.

Chip and coolant management are handled by an integrated chip conveyor and thru-spindle coolant system, supporting clean, efficient cutting and extended tool life. The Hurco MAX5 control with touchscreen and conversational programming makes operation intuitive while still providing full NC programming flexibility.
