2021 Howick FRAMA 5600 5.5'' Profile Steel Framing Machine

The Howick FRAMA 7800 is a fully convertible frame, truss, and floor joist production machine, capable of running up to 5 set profile widths within a single compact base unit. Unlike traditional multi-profile roll-formers, the FRAMA 7800's convertible tooling design lets operators run a single profile size initially and add tooling sets for additional widths as production needs grow — avoiding the cost and complexity of a fixed multi-profile machine from day one.

This 2022 unit is a hybrid machine capable of producing frames, trusses, and floor joists from material between 16 and 12 gauge (1.85mm to 2.5mm), giving it strong versatility across residential and light commercial construction applications. The FRAMA 7800 is available in three configuration types — floor joist production, framing production, or a customized combination of frame and joist tooling — allowing the setup to be tailored to the buyer's production mix.

With 13 forming stages and a smaller footprint than comparable multi-profile machines, the FRAMA 7800 delivers higher product accuracy and reduced material wastage when changing section widths. As with all Howick FRAMA machines, components are computer-controlled for precision, and each part is dimpled and notched so frames self-clip together — no clamping, drilling, or jig required.

The machine is controlled via a Windows 10 touchscreen panel PC running FRAMA Machine Control software, with CSV file input. A 3.0-ton decoiler (6,600 lb capacity) is included, with hydraulic 3-jaw self-centering expansion and auto-pause at coil end.
